My chef training programmes can be completely tailored to your needs, whether you are an individual, small business or large corporation. I can provide you with all the information, recipes, tips, techniques and theory behind the world of healthy 'clean' foods, how to cook gluten, sugar and dairy free, how to create incredible vegan and plant based dishes and how to prioritise health and nutrition whilst creating delicious appetising meals for your customers.

I have over 25 years experience in the catering industry in everything from pubs, restaurants, cafes, schools, hospitals, markets, hospitality and festivals. I have worked every job from pot washer and waitress to sandwich maker, chefs assistant, head chef and kitchen manager. I never trained as a chef and have learned my craft from getting in there and doing the job, learning from many of the incredibly gifted and knowledgeable chefs and nutritionists I have met along the way. I came to the world of 'health' and food through my own journey and in particular the practice of yoga which bought to my attention the importance of what and how we eat and how it fundamentally affects who we are.

Through my experience in consulting, recipe development and chef training I have worked with well known companies in the field of health, food and retreats. I have developed recipes for a best selling book, trained the head chefs of hotels in London and Mauritius, had influence in refining the food offered by two of the UK's leading retreat companies and facilitated chef training for yoga retreat centres in Goa and Italy.

Retreat Chef

I offer retreat catering with a difference!

My approach to retreat food was born from my experience as a retreat participant over many years and my desire to explore deeper the effects of food/my diet on my yoga practice. Since then I have cooked for many kinds of commercial yoga retreats and holidays, health and fitness retreats and private retreats, all over the world.

My own experience of what is like to be on retreat and what kind of food is needed to nourish and support me during the process influences my work as a retreat chef and enables me to provide a complete holistic approach to the food I create and the kitchen I work in.

Combining this with years of study into nutrition, food energetics, fermented foods and raw/living foods, Ayurvedic and macrobiotic approaches means I am able to create a menu that is not only healthy and delicious but that has considered everything from season, location, ethical sourcing, optimum nutrition, 5 element theory, the 6 tastes, healing/medicinal foods and how to support the different types of practices on offer.

I have witnessed how food can make or break a retreat and it is an area that plays a key role in how your retreat flows. Alongside the teachings my food supports and provides foundation from where the participant can feel held and nourished.

* I am also available to host workshops around food, health and nutrition on retreats in addition to providing the catering. The classes generally include theory and discussion, demonstrations, hands on preparation, food consciousness practices and q&a.


One to One Mentoring

Working one to one with someone who is committed to their health and self growth is one of the most rewarding parts of my work. No matter where anyone is at in their lives, if the desire is there to flourish then remarkable things can happen.

In these sessions I help you focus on what it is that works for you, what brings you joy or make you feel the most alive, your creative intuitive self and being able to trust you own unique inner wisdom.

Discovering what really works for you and discarding that which doesn't is empowering and liberating. Taking the time to nourish ourselves with daily practices such as yoga, meditation, time outdoors, conscious breathing, self care techniques and eating a well balanced 'clean' diet gives us a strong basis from which to thrive in our daily lives.

• One to one sessions are via Skype and last for 1 hour and cost £65
